They have recently added a bar, which took away several dining tables but I guess with the ability to serve alcohol will certainly add $$$ overall. It is not big in real estate size - this can be viewed as an oversize cafe or small restaurant, so it tends to be a bit more quieter unless there is a big party of people like more than 12. The staff that I've come across are friendly, attentive, and helpful.Īside from that, the ambiance is fine, some parts of the seating areas are somewhat out dated but I like it small with cozy corners, with some privacy in comparison to a bigger open area. The menu varies quite a bit, so I think even a picky eater could find solace. We believe that great food starts with great ingredients. Our goal is to bring fresh seasonal ingredients specially prepared by our chefs and trained cooks into the lives of many New Yorkers. Serving our guests since February 14, 2019. Pricing and size portion is very reasonable. Bay Caf is a high-quality seasonal gourmet restaurant. Some will like/love the food while others will not. It is not high end gourmet but I find it more like food made in my kitchen or a friend's or a friend's mother - I guess HOME COOKING, say's it best. I haven't eaten everything but enjoyed each dish, no matter what I've. After all this time, I have never had a bad experience with food or the staff. I've been coming here for more than 20 yrs.
